![]() | The South Central Society for Eighteenth Century Studies invites you to enjoy an interdisciplinary Symposium-style experience featuring a series of conference panels on the general topic of being lost and found in the long eighteenth century. Whether one is lost at sea or lost in the depths of academic archives, finding one's bearings can bring about new insights and inspirations. Discovering the answers to the mysteries of existence has led to whole new understandings of the world around and within us -- and whole new speculations about the unseen and unknown. Conferees will enjoy a series of guiding perspectives from various points of view. | ![]() |
The Magnolia's location, just two blocks from Akard Station, means travelers can use the DART rail to travel to and from either Love Field or DFW Airport for $2.50 if they prefer to avoid the expense of a taxi or shuttle service.
To secure this year's conference rate of $179/night, book your room using the SCSECS reservation website. Please note that this base rate does not include city taxes and fees.
Registration for the conference itself is now available; please download our online form (PDF file). Registration payments that are postmarked after the February 1 deadline for registration must include a late fee. Questions about registration? Contact SCSECS Treasurer Ashley Bender at abender@twu.edu.
Events will commence Thursday evening with a welcome reception.
